This week our CEO, Angela Robert joined the panel for an mHealth discussion hosted by DigiBC as part of the Mobile Monday Vancouver event series. The topic was: Can Disruptive Technologies Enable Better Healthcare?
The event was moderated by Michael Bidu of Sanotron. Panel members also included Chris Browes of Medeo, Michael Ferguson of Ayogo and Andy Tsai of Reflex Wireless.
The lively debate ranged from views on what we need from new government to accelerate progress in healthcare technology to examples of disruptive health technologies developed in Vancouver and how to engage healthcare professionals in early product validation. Of course, there was also the usual injection of skepticism about working within the healthcare market and the rate of change.
The event was backed by DigiBC, Wavefront and LifeSciencesBC. With the combined strength of these heavyweights, together with Sanotron and the technical ingenuity of Vancouver companies like Medeo, Reflex Wireless and Ayogo, perhaps we will see some positive disruption in BC healthcare.
